Free Wheelchair Mission

As travellers ourselves, we at Travability have a deep appreciation of the cultures and individuals that make up the diversity of this rich planet of ours. Travel broadens the mind, instills a deep sense of tolerance and above all else a deeper sense of compassion fore those who live their lives without the basics that we take for granted. In our modern society our disabled have the opporty to take advantage of the best technology we have to enable them to enjoy their lives to the fullest extent. In other parts of the world however there over 100,000,000 for whom a wheelchair is not an option at all. There live their lives either crawling around, waiting for family to carry them around or are simply confined or shunned to their homes.

Travability applauds and endorses the Free Wheelchair Mission. Their mission was to design a simple, cheap and effective wheelchair and distribute it free to the millions of disabled people without mobility throughout the world.
