Hong Kong, arguably, has one of the best city skylines of the world, especially when viewed from Kowloon on the Tsim Sha Tsui East Promenade. The Promenade stretches from the New World Centre right around to the Star Ferry Terminal. It also contains Hong Kong's tribute to their film industry, the Avenue of the Stars. The promenade is wide and level with a smooth surface making it accessible to anyone. Access is either via the Star Ferry Terminal or via exit J from the Tsim Sha Tsui subway. Accessible facilities are available in Sogo Park, about halfway along the promenade. Tsim Sha Tsui East Promenade offers a great view of the harbour and skyline by day but an even more impressive view by night. The nightly sound and light display, The Symphony of Lights is spectacular and worth the effort. Near the Star Ferry Terminal there is an elevated observation area with recently installed stair lifts. A call button summons the attendants who will operate the lift. The elevated platform is not necessary to enjoy the view and all of the photos contained in this album were taken from the lower level.
